Representation of interests

VSTH

This very important task includes:

·          the representation and the promotion of the interests of member firms and of technical trading with government, organisations and other trade associations;

·         contact and co-operation with other organisations pursuing the same or similar aims;

·         representation and promotion of the interests of the employers;

·         contacts with trade organisations from other countries and international co-operates between national associations of technical traders;

·         membership of the Swiss federation of importers and wholesalers (VSIG) in Basle;

·         Exertion of influence on specialised trade exhibitions. Co-operation with the managing committee of the Swisstech trade fair;

·         Partnership with the Swiss forum of suppliers.

VSIG Swiss Trade

Our umbrella organisation is VSIG Swiss Trade, which has its office in Basle. Approximately 35 trade organisations and Swiss communities of interest (trade associations) representing 3500 businesses employing 150'000 people are affiliated to this federation. It ranks among the most important trade associations of Switzerland.

The services provided by the VSTH and the VSIG under this heading are not always discernible as such for each firm and unfortunately, they are generally underestimated.
